BOCHU MCD100 Laser Beam Alignment Tool — Nozzle Centring Device for Fibre Laser Cutting Heads
Stop burning tape. Centre your nozzle in seconds — and know it's right.
The BOCHU MCD100 Manual Center Device is a camera-based nozzle centring tool for fibre laser cutting machines. It sits under your cutting head, shows you exactly where the beam sits against the nozzle on its own built-in HD screen, and walks you through centring in three simple steps. No more tape shots, no more guesswork, and no more squinting at a burn mark trying to decide which way to nudge the adjusters.
An off-centre beam is behind a lot of the problems operators chase on the floor — burrs and dross on one side of the part, rough or inconsistent edges, cuts that are good in one direction and poor in another, and nozzles that wear out far too quickly. The MCD100 takes the guesswork out of fixing it.
See it in action
Centring in three steps: Align, Follow, Adjust
- Align — place the MCD100 under the nozzle and let the image sensor pick up the nozzle and beam position.
- Follow — the head follows down to the set height and the built-in algorithm calculates exactly how far off centre you are.
- Adjust — turn the centring adjusters while watching the live result on screen until it's dead centre.
Why operators love it
- All-in-one design — built-in 4.5" HD screen. No phone, no app, no Wi-Fi, no lag, and no network dropouts on the shop floor.
- Repeatable to ≤ 0.02 mm — not just a clear picture, but a precise calculated result, with absolute accuracy of ≤ 0.05 mm.
- Fast — a job that takes several tape shots and a lot of trial and error becomes a quick, guided routine, so you're back cutting sooner.
- Built for the workshop — IP64 rated, rechargeable 21700 battery, charges by USB or adapter.
- Same result every time, whoever's on the machine — takes the skill and guesswork out of centring, so your newest operator gets the same answer as your most experienced one.
- Protects your consumables — a centred beam means longer nozzle life and fewer damaged nozzles.

Compatible cutting heads
Designed for fibre laser cutting heads across the major brands, including BOCI (BOCHU), Raytools, WSX, Ospri, Precitec, and heads fitted to HSG and Bodor machines. Not sure about your setup? Send us your machine and head model and we'll confirm before you buy.
First-time setup guide
Before centring with the MCD100 for the first time, a one-off focal position calibration is required for each cutting head. This BOCHU guide walks through both the focal calibration and beam centring.
